Rice Black Women's Association
Formerly known as, Black Girl Magic, the Rice Black Women's Association (RBWA) is an African American women’s empowerment organization that facilitates connections and relationships among current African American women at Rice, while promoting opportunities to focus on self care, and also discuss many of the topics relevant to their collegiate and post-collegiate lives. We aim to create a comfort zones where young women can connect, find inspiration and strength and the motivation to not only be their true selves, but also learn to truly value and appreciate their uniqueness. The annual spring retreat focuses on connections, self-empowerment, self-care, inspiration and defining values.
